Physical Therapy in Oak Lawn, IL
One-on-one physical therapy from a licensed PT, every visit. Workers' comp expertise, free injury screenings, and a clinic on 95th Street that gets people back to work and back to life.

3PT Oak Lawn is on West 95th Street, right on the main corridor, with one-on-one care from a licensed physical therapist at every visit. We see patients recovering from surgeries, managing chronic back and knee pain, rehabbing sports injuries, and working through the kinds of aches that build up over time whether you're on your feet all day or sitting at a desk. Our patients come from Oak Lawn, Chicago Ridge, Evergreen Park, and the surrounding south suburbs.
What sets the experience apart is simple: your therapist manages your full recovery. They know your injury, your goals, and your progress from visit to visit. They adjust the plan as you improve. And they have the time to do it right because they're not splitting attention across three patients at once.
Conditions our Oak Lawn physical therapists treat
Our team treats the full range of orthopedic, neurological, and musculoskeletal conditions, including:

What to expect at your first visit
Your first visit takes about an hour. Your PT will go over your injury, your work demands or activity level, and what you need to get back to. We do a hands-on evaluation, explain the findings, and lay out a treatment plan with clear milestones. If it's a workers' comp case, we'll make sure the documentation is set up correctly from day one.
Insurance is verified before you walk in. You'll know your copay, your visit limits, and your out-of-pocket exposure before treatment starts. Every visit after that is one-on-one with the same physical therapist: manual therapy, progressive strengthening, and honest updates on where you are in recovery.
You don’t need a referral
Illinois is a direct access state, which means you don’t need a physician referral to start physical therapy at 3PT. If something hurts, if you’re recovering from an injury, or if you just want a free injury screening to find out whether PT can help, you can call us directly. Most insurance plans cover direct access PT, and we’ll verify your benefits before your first visit.
Insurance and payment
We accept all major insurance at our Oak Lawn clinic, including PPO, HMO, Medicare, and workers' compensation. For work injuries and auto accidents, we coordinate directly with insurance adjusters, case managers, and attorneys. We verify your coverage before your first visit so there are no billing surprises.
More than physical therapy, when you need it
Most Oak Lawn patients come in for physical therapy and leave when they're recovered. That's the standard path and it works well.
Some patients are dealing with pain that's connected to weight, stress, or lifestyle factors in ways that slow down their physical recovery. When your PT sees that pattern, they can bring in our on-site dietitian or behavioral health clinician. It's not an upsell. It's clinical judgment about what will actually get you better faster. Most patients never need it, and that's fine.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a referral?
No. Illinois is a direct access state. You can start physical therapy without a doctor's referral. We verify your insurance coverage before you come in.
How do workers' comp cases work at 3PT?
We've handled workers' comp from day one. You bring in your claim information, we verify authorization, and we start treatment. We handle the progress reports, communicate with your adjuster or case manager, and coordinate with your employer's return-to-work requirements. You focus on recovery.
Can I choose my own physical therapy provider?
Yes. Illinois law gives you the right to choose any in-network PT provider. We'll verify your benefits and confirm we're in-network before your first visit.
How soon can I be seen?
Most patients get in within 24 to 48 hours. Call (708) 598-7880.
What if my pain is getting worse, not better?
Tell your PT. One of the advantages of one-on-one care is that your therapist notices changes and adjusts the plan immediately. If something isn't responding the way we expect, we modify the approach or recommend additional imaging. We don't keep running the same playbook when it's not working.
What should I bring?
Insurance card, photo ID, any imaging or surgical reports, and comfortable clothes. If it's a workers' comp case, bring your claim number and adjuster contact information.
