Will County is one of the fastest-growing counties in Illinois, and our patients reflect that range: post-surgical recoveries, sports injuries, chronic back and knee pain, auto accident rehab, and everything in between.

What to expect at your first visit

First visit is about an hour. Your physical therapist will ask about the injury, your work or activity demands, and what you need to get back to. Hands-on evaluation, clear explanation of findings, and a treatment plan with milestones. If it's a comp case, the paperwork gets set up correctly from the start.

We verify insurance before you arrive. You'll know your costs before treatment begins. Every visit after that is one-on-one with the same PT: hands-on manual therapy, progressive exercises, and real adjustments when something needs to change.

You don’t need a referral

Illinois is a direct access state, which means you don’t need a physician referral to start physical therapy at 3PT. If something hurts, if you’re recovering from an injury, or if you just want a free injury screening to find out whether PT can help, you can call us directly. Most insurance plans cover direct access PT, and we’ll verify your benefits before your first visit.

Insurance and payment

We accept all major insurance plans, including PPO, HMO, Medicare, workers' comp, and personal injury liens. For workplace and auto accident injuries, we handle the documentation and communicate with adjusters, attorneys, and case managers directly. Verification is done before your first visit.

More than physical therapy, when you need it

Most Joliet-area patients need physical therapy and nothing more. They come in, they put in the work, they recover.

For patients whose recovery is complicated by weight, nutrition, or stress, our Joliet clinic has a dietitian and a behavioral health clinician on the same team as your PT. They get involved when your therapist sees a clinical reason, not as a sales pitch. Most patients never interact with them, and that's perfectly fine.
