Bourbonnais sits at the crossroads of a college campus, a river valley, and a community that stays active across all four seasons. 3PT Bourbonnais is on North Convent Street, close to Olivet Nazarene University, Perry Farm Park, and the Kankakee River trails. We see Olivet athletes, Bradley-Bourbonnais high schoolers, weekend hikers and runners, workers from the industrial corridor along I-57, and retirees who refuse to let a knee replacement slow them down for longer than necessary.

Every visit is one-on-one with a licensed physical therapist. Not a tech, not a rotating roster, not a therapist splitting attention across three patients at once. Your PT knows your injury, your progress, and your goals. That's how recovery actually works.

What to expect at your first visit

Your first visit is about an hour. Your PT will get the full picture: the injury, your activity level, your work or sport demands, and what you want to get back to doing. Hands-on evaluation, straightforward explanation, and a treatment plan you can actually follow. Insurance is verified before you arrive.

Every session after that is one-on-one with the same therapist. Manual therapy, progressive strengthening, and honest updates. If something isn't improving the way we expect, we change the approach. No autopilot.

You don’t need a referral

Illinois is a direct access state, which means you don’t need a physician referral to start physical therapy at 3PT. If something hurts, if you’re recovering from an injury, or if you just want a free injury screening to find out whether PT can help, you can call us directly. Most insurance plans cover direct access PT, and we’ll verify your benefits before your first visit.

Insurance and payment

We accept all major insurance plans at our Bourbonnais clinic: PPO, HMO, Medicare, workers' comp, and personal injury. Verification happens before your first visit. For work injuries and auto accidents, we handle the coordination with adjusters and attorneys.

More than physical therapy, when you need it

Most Bourbonnais patients come in for physical therapy and that's all they need. Their PT manages recovery from evaluation to discharge.

For patients whose pain is connected to weight, nutrition, or stress, our Bourbonnais team has a dietitian and behavioral health clinician who can collaborate with your PT. It's a clinical decision, not a sales pitch. Available when needed, not part of the default path.
